My Darkest Days 11/22/10 At The Whammy Bar Peoria, IL Part 1

Watching them do a soundcheck.

In between the soundchecking, they saw me and all said, Hey, how's it going?" Doug on the other hand, calls me Jackie. :P

Everyone was there except Matt. A tall guy walked in. He had his hooded sweatshirt over his face and his hat over his face. He stood next to me. I thought to myself, I think it's Matt. He turned and looked at me 'cause he saw me looking at him. He said, "Hey, how are you?" I said, "Matt?" I gave him a big hug. We talked for a bit. I told him, I had something for him out in the car that might make his life.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic I baked him a birthday cake. He was blown away. After he got done exciting over the cake, I gave him his card.Image and video hosting by TinyPic Matt said, my birthday isn't 'til December, though. I said; Matt, I know, but I probably won't see you 'til next year. He said; we will definitely be back. ^ in that picture, you can see the plastic tub of cookies I baked for them.
Well, Matt got up on the stage and soundchecked with them for a bit, then they did "Save Me" Which was awesome. Sound check was over, Doug got off the stage and told Doug, come here Dougie. Gave him a big hug, too. He also did something special for me. We chatted up a bit, then he had to make a phone call. Sal, came over and we talked. I had a gift for him. I gave him Betty Boop socks! :) You can see him holding them up in this pic.Image and video hosting by TinyPic I said; Sal, if they don't fit, you can make them into arm warmers. Sal said; They'll fit! I got like 4 hugs from him for those, lol. Matt came back over and stood with me. He ordered some chicken wings. Matt and I hung out for like a half hour. It was pretty fun. Definitely an awesome guy.

Peach Pie.

About 10 days ago, I made my second peach pie.
I was told it was very delicious! :)

Walking In My Shoes- Janus

Amazing cover of Depeche Mode's "Walking In My Shoes." I love this song so much. You know, it's better than the original. My boys in Janus did a great job on this. I got this song on the cd they sent me.

Matt Walst

Matt Walst posed for my mom in this picture. I was on the other side with Doug when this pic was taken.
MDD has been around for a good while now. I have been a fan since 2007. SO glad that they are finally touring the USA. They just got "big" here in the USA this year.
